A motor cycle rally campaign, named as the Vodafone Data Strong Ride was conducted by Vodafone India to demonstrate presence of Vodafone’s data strong network across the country. Riders in the rally used Google maps to identify their location, stayed in touch with their loved ones through calls, sms and Whatsapp, and posted their updates and pictures on FB and Instagram at various stops along the way, as well as tweeted their experiences thus proving that Vodafone network was available at lightening speed at every corners of the country be it even be the most remote locations.
10 bikers were chosen to take part in the rally and they covered over 3,300 km from Mumbai in Maharashtra to Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, traversing 6 states over 12 days.
The campaign experience was further enhanced with social media integration wherein riders engaged with locals en route, shared the uses of mobile internet and clicked pictures with them to be posted on their social media platforms.
