Delta airlines came up with one of the coolest outdoor campaigns this year. Keeping in mind especially single people who cannot afford to travel just anywhere they wish to, Wieden + Kennedy New York has painted scenes of 9 exotic locations on a wall in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The aim is to give NYC singles an opportunity to update their dating profiles by taking selfies with the destinations printed on the walls.
Surrounded by some really cute illustrations by Andrew Rae, the printed photos on the walls feature places like Honolulu, Paris, Los Angeles, Pisa, London, Mexico City, Amsterdam, Moscow, and Zurich. The work of art also suffices the purpose of promoting Delta airline’s services to the before mentioned destinations. Taking the campaign another step ahead was its integration with the popular dating site Tinder where individuals can actually get a proper photo taken next to the wall by a professional photographer.
According to W+K tells AdFreak, the campaign was inspired by how important a role travel pictures play on dating sites. They even conducted small survey according to which 62% of men and 74 percent of women want a partner who shares their travel interests, 1 in 2 singles say traveling is one of their favorite things to do, 1 in 2 singles say traveling to a new city to meet a date would be exciting, 1 in 3 singles ranked travel as a top priority in 2017, 57% of singles take 1+ vacations year and 1 in 3 singles try to go somewhere different for vacation every time they travel!
