The people of signage, branding and creativity will have ample opportunities in near future, as the existing and new metros rails that are coming up in numerous cities, would require a lot of digital and screen printed stuff. The printed products that would be required are station signage and branding, advertisement and promotion, passenger signboards at various stations, printed items such as stickers that are required to be stuck inside the metro rakes, etc. The volume of printed stuff required is simply anybody’s imagination.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi inaugurated Pune Metro Rail Project on 6th March 2022. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that while Metro services were available in very few cities till 2014, more than 24 cities are either being benefitted by the metro services or are on the verge of getting it. And Maharashtra, he said, has quite a significant share of the Metro Rail Network, viz, Mumbai, Thane, Nagpur and Pimpri Chinchwad Pune.

Pune is the hub of Education, Research & Development, IT and Automobile sectors. As such situation, modern mobility and facilities are the need of the people of Pune. So, the Pune Metro Rail Project project is an endeavour to provide world-class infrastructure for urban mobility in Pune. The Foundation Stone of the project was also laid by the Prime Minister on 24th Dec 2016. Prime Minister inaugurated a 12 km stretch of the total 32.2 km Pune metro rail project. The entire project is being built at a total cost of more than Rs 11,400 crore.

Also present on the occasion were: Governor, Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Union Minister, Ramdas Athawale, Member of Parliament, Prakash Javadekar, etc.
