SHOW PROGRAM:
Title: Africa Sign, Digital & Printing Expo – Africa’s International Exhibition on Signage, Advertising, Digital & Printing Industry
Date: 21-23 November 2018
Venue: Kenyatta International Convention Centre, Nairobi, Kenya
MEX is an international exhibition company with a strong presence of more than four decades in the advertising industry, over 20 years in publishing and 15 years in exhibitions. The company has produced more than 100 market-leading trade exhibitions for various segments in addition to publishing various magazines and advertising trade directories of repute. Successful exhibitions are conducted all over India, Dubai, Singapore, Thailand, and now in Africa.
Delving on the same, Gaurav Juneja, Director, MEX Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. says, “Our rich and formidable international exposure will mark the beginning of an all new era of promotional means in Africa. We are very much sure that our efforts would bring the much needed face-lift to a market which is full of opportunities with immense potentials, and are yet to be explored. The mega show will emerge as the premier event in the continent showcasing a rather increasingly competitive and fierce international market of digital, printing & signage world.”
Elucidating on ‘why Africa?’ he adds, “The $2 trillion Africa’s economy is an emerging force with the continent’s collective GDP expected to touch $3.6 trillion by 2020, up from $2.1 trillion in 2011. What’s more, about a third of the 54 African countries are seeing annual GDP growth of more than 6% evincing promising investment opportunities to which India is in a good position to extend its reach. Adding to it is Africa’s fast-growing urban population, which currently stands at 1.2 billion and set to exceed four billion by 2100, when around 40% of the global population will be living in Africa, based on projections from the UN.”
The company will use the expertise earned over the years to bring forth one-of-its-kind Show where both national and international exhibitors would come to showcase their creativity demonstrating the latest technology in advertising, signage, point of purchase, printing, retail & shop displays and gifts & premium sector.
Adding to it, Himani Gulati, another Director with MEX insists that Africa Sign would provide an ideal platform not only for exhibitors to investigate available business ventures, but also for visitors to explore innovative products, trending technology and applications for the signage and display industries in the region. “We aim to endow with the best networking opportunity for both exhibitors and visitors who would come from all across Africa & rest of the world at Kenya’s capital Nairobi, which is said to be the business centre of the continent.”
Explaining why Kenya has been chosen as the venue for the Show, she points out, “Kenya works as the gateway for business in Africa. There are two important reasons for it. First, it has an easy access to the other growth-hungry countries in its surrounding that includes Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Comoros, Malawi, Mayotte, Sudan, Eritrea, Zambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Seychelles, Central African Republic, Yemen, Mozambique, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Congo, Angola, Gabon, Saudi Arabia, and Equatorial Guinea. Second is the consistency in the annual GDP growth. Kenya’s GDP growth has been steady at 4-6% per year since 2010, which is much more than the global average that currently stands at 2-4%.”
- MEX is organising Africa Sign, Digital & Printing Expo 2018 – Africa’s International Exhibition on Signage, Advertising, Digital & Printing Industry
- For Exhibitors, the Expo aims to highlight the potentials across digital printing and/or signage industry in a market which is largely untapped
- Attendees will find it a significant platform to network with leading manufacturers, make new industry contacts, and increase their market knowledge
Meanwhile, there is no denial to the fact that Africa’s economy is fuelled by growth in several industries: agriculture, tourism, construction, transport, communications, and most notably, ICT. All are showing tremendous potential following rapid urbanisation leading to a growing consumer base with rising disposable income. Adding to it is the emergence of huge regional markets that manufacturers would find lucrative to their businesses and can tap the opportunities coming at hand.
Amidst all this, Africa Sign, Digital & Printing Expo is aptly placed offering a serious business platform for both manufacturers as well as buyers to make the best out of the occasion. Above all, the world-class quality, design and hospitality would be an added advantage for exhibitors and visitors alike. “It is obvious that the possibilities in relationship building are infinite. All we have to do is to push the boundaries,” avers Juneja.
