Guide Studio, USA, is hosting a free webinar titled “Beyond Code Signs – Wayfinding for the built environment” on April 5, 2022. In this 40-minute presentation, Kevin Fromet, Design Consultant& Wayfinding Consultant of Guide Studio will address the scenarios that require Wayfinding support, the essentials of good signage and Wayfinding, and when to incorporate an experiential designer or Wayfinding consultant into your project.
According to Guide Studio think tanks, Wayfinding is one of the most valuable communication tools that a public place can use to set up a positive and engaging experience for people who are new to or unfamiliar with a place. Although Signage and technology are part of Wayfinding, it’s a strategy that provides information in the right way, at the right moments, so people don’t get lost or confused.
Guide Studio team observed that many projects of signage are simply as a necessary line item and just code signs that are required to allow buildings to be open and put to use. However, not much attention is put to the design and utilization of signage to set the tone and experience for the built environment — which makes it look like an afterthought.
Founded in 1997, Guide Studio has partnered with communities and place-based organizations to communicate and engage with their residents, visitors, and local businesses — helping them create places where people thrive.
