The awards ceremony will be held during the 50th grand edition of Media Expo, on the second evening (3 March) of the show. The platform will recognise and celebrate innovation excellence in industrial screen printing through 40 honours across 20 categories.
Following the introduction of a new pavilion focused on technologies for industrial screen printing at Media Expo 2023 editions, Messe Frankfurt India together with the Screen-printing Graphics Association (SGAI) are pleased to announce the ‘Industrial Print Excellence Awards – 2023’ (IPEA). Held during Media Expo’s milestone 50th edition at Bombay Exhibition Centre, the award show will celebrate established and emerging brands steering innovation across the industrial screen-printing segment.
The screen-printing industry in India could be called multicoloured and multi-layered. It has its presence across segments like ceramic, industrial, CDs, POPs, advertising and digital including textiles. Though the sector is young, the screen-printing industry has been continuously expanding at a healthy annual growth rate in excess of 15 percent.
“As the country gears up to seize opportunities in manufacturing sector, I do believe that there exists a huge potential and scope of functional/industrial printing, although it remains largely hidden from view. Therefore, it is important for us to keep fostering innovation and creativity by celebrating these achievements of individuals and brands,” explained Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd.
The awards are divided into various categories namely Industrial Printing, Value Addition, Special Category and Others.
The industrial printing category includes membrane switch/touch panels; automobile – decal printing (two/four wheeler graphics), automobile – speedometer, gauges/dials, automobile; consumer goods – membrane panel printing for refrigerators, washing machines, etc; doming application – mobile phone printing (body panel, keypad, inner pad, circuit, etc); solar cell application, printed electronics – PCBs and flexible PCBs, printed electronics – mobile phone printing (body panel, keypad, inner pad etc), ceramic decoration (tiles and ceramic products); the value addition category covers packing and commercial print finishing; the special category includes security printing and smart/credit card printing; while the other categories cover educational projects by students.

Forty awards across 20 categories will be presented on the second evening (3 March) of the three-day show in Hall 1, Bombay Exhibition Centre from 2 – 4 March 2023.
Award finalists’ work will go on show in ‘Awards Gallery’ arena at Media Expo Mumbai 2023 edition in front of an anticipated audience of more than 14,500 professional trade visitors.
