With an aim to provide professional quality of printing at a economical rates, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, has launched into market the new imagePROGRAF iPF670E. It is a five-color dye/pigment printer, a 24-inch iPF670E model that takes its basic features from the iPF670 series. The new features are designed to satisfy a broad range of business needs, including the printing of CAD/GIS documents, posters, graphics, and larger sized business documents. It has also been specifically designed to compete in the low-cost, low volume 24 inch market. Canon’s imagePROGRAF iPF670E has everything a business needs and even more.
Functioning at a speed of approximately 20 percent faster than that of its competitors in the market, the device is equipped with a total of 540 ml of
ink whereas its competitors offer less than 100 ml of ink. This increased amount of ink capacity allows Canon to provide the tools necessary for those businesses entering the large-format market to get their operation up and running.
The new iPF670E employs a 5-color dye and pigment ink system with C, M, Y, BK, and MBK. The imagePROGRAF iPF670E offers a competitive advantage of utilizing two types of black ink: MBK for a dense black tone on plain paper and BK for glossy media to enable high image quality for poster printing. Additionally, these new devices offer large 90 ml ink tanks for all colors, more than double that of the competition. The increased capacity of these color tanks will allow printers to stay on track and replace their tanks less frequently.
To add to it its list of features, the device’s hot-swap ink tanks and non firing nozzle detection and compensation features allow users to swap ink tanks in the middle of a print job without having to worry about ruining the print.
