Two young Turks are bringing disruptive technologies in signage. Meet Lakshay Nanda and Shantanu Shukla, founders of Bitbang Enterprises LLP. The company is making a growing presence in the signage market with their novel signage concept called Signage Animator which is said to be a substitute for LED-based static signage. Bitbang has over 1200 Clients and has executed over 1500 Projects so far.
According to Lakshay Nanda, their Signage Animator can be used by “anyone to animate anything.” It is easy to animate the new and existing signage and make signage attractive and eye-catching. The Signage Animator does not require any software; one can control any LED, Neon LED, Open LED. He says that Signage Animator gives life to static Sign Boards; it offers multiple Animations – Any Size, Any Shape, and any LED can be animated. Tell us your story behind Bitbang Signage Animator:
Bitbang was founded in 2015 by me and Shantanu Shukla when we were studying in the final year of our college. We received funds from a well-known IT company. We expanded our team and started customising solutions, both Hardware and Software.
With the Make in India initiative, our team gives a high-end experience in terms of Animations, look and feel, just by making simple things eye-catchy. We are revolutionising signage just like LED technology changed the flex boards usage. We work with a motto of ‘Anyone, Animate. Anything. We help our clients to increase their brand awareness by making their signage easily noticeable and attractive. Bitbang started with an initiative of automating the processes. Our team undertook Research and Development in the automation of products. We are working with experiential marketing products that keep clients engaged.
We are developing solutions and products for B2B and B2C. We are a one-stop solution – to convert an idea for selling of products in the market. Our Signage Animator offers attractive and eye-catchy signage as we see in other countries, that too at very competitive rates. We started attracting many big names, Delhi IGI Airport, Reliance Jio, and many private companies. We are not only present in India, but also have exported to USA, Nepal, Malaysia, Dubai and still expanding.
What are the features of Signage Animator?
Signage Animator is a substitute for LED Static Signs. It gives life to static signboards. Signage Animator is eye-catchy, moving animated signs, which does not require heavy coding and hardware and one has to just install easily and plug and play. It is ready to use on a single device, it has a display and buttons for user-friendly installation. One can create multiple animations; any size and shape can be animated. The Auto Mode helps to switch between animations automatically.
How are you going to face the competition?
Currently, we are the only ones to produce our kind of Signage Animators. So far, the Chinese have not entered this segment, but they may come out with such a concept soon. And, we are prepared to face the competition by bringing out new products and a range of products to compete with the pricing of Chinese products. Moreover, we are providing good service support, warranty and customised features. Moreover, since 80 per cent of the workers in the signage industry are not so much knowledgeable, we are making these products easy to understand and anyone can install them to derive maximum benefit without hassle.
What are your technological strengths?
We have a team of experts in Embedded systems, software development and product architecture. We are experts in designing a product from a scratch, involving PCB designing, circuits designing, coding, cloud application, IOS and Android Development. We also create our packaging design and production in-house.
We aim to investigate, invent, improve, and research possibilities related to animation and creating trendy signages in any way possible. We use automation, which includes emerging technology, programmes and robotics to achieve consistent results with minimal human input. We create the best-animated signs by combining the most appealing designs with the most suitable codes.
What are your plans?
Bitbang is coming up with a few more new products. These include: Bluetooth hardware and application development – turn on/off, change speed, change animation, set timers, RGB animator, changing the colour of signage via application, change animations, pixel on WS2812 led pixel strip.

Youngsters without any legacy have more fire to make themselves highlighted by making faster moves in their work and showing fast results. Old people are in their comfort zone and not ready to bring a change because of the current setup which they feel is suitable and is bringing them money. But, young people tend to bring change and are more efficient at work. They have the energy to put in and show the results as soon as possible. Then only the industry will respond – either accept or decline. But they are ready to take inputs and provide a solution.
However, I can say that old is also gold because with the guidance and experience of old, young brains can do their jobs faster but in the best direction. So, efficiency and speed will be seen shortly with some young startups with great ideas and revolutionising each industry with a Made in India concept.
