“The 3.4mtr and 5.2mtr VUTEk D series printers are the newest EFI superwide industrial roll-to-roll printers with full design and application capabilities. They are positioned between the high-end VUTEk 3r+/5r+ and the entry level EFI Pro 32r+. With production speeds up to 2540 ft2/hr. for the VUTEk D3r and 3068 sqft/hr. for the VUTEk D5r. The D series is unique, as it supports both white and clear ink – matte and glossy – printing, while the other roll-to-roll products offer a choice between white or clear ink. The clear coat ink is printed inline, simultaneously with the image, without slowing production speed. It can be printed either as full flood or selective and can have a matte or glossy finish with the same ink.
The clear ink provides 3-years of outdoor protection against abrasion, chemicals, weather damage, UV fading, yellowing and air pollution. This makes the D series printers particularly suitable for a variety of unique premium applications, such as wall decorations and murals, window graphics, wall papers, floorings, high-value prints with selective gloss effects, fleet graphics, truck-side curtains, and more.
