The new LEF-200 features a special on-board primer for priming a wide variety of substrates quickly and efficiently. 20 inches wide in dimension, the printers produce outstanding printing quality with special white and gloss ink effects. The optional primer offers a wide range of materials to be printed on including three-dimensional items up to 3.94 inches (100 mm) thick. The series is also incorporated with the Roland VersaWorks Dual RIP software that enables it to product special effect graphics as well.
Rich color and graphics, various options to customize and personalize; are some of the functions with become synonymous with the series. “This added functionality makes prepping an object for customization before printing a full-color graphics easier than ever,” said Jay Roberts, Roland DGA’s product manager, UV Printers. “The Primer option ramps up the efficiency, streamlining the process of printing graphics on materials like acrylic and plastic.”
The printers use Roland’s signature CMYK, Primer and Gloss ECO-UV inks that are specifically meant for high quality printing on spot gloss or matte finished surfaces. The new primer offers users the choice to create soft areas for CMYK and White adhesions for difficult substrates.
