Uber, the official sponsor of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2019 has launched an outdoor advertising campaign with “Way-O Way-O” slogan. The brand is aiming to promote the spirit of cricket using versatile media formats.
Virat Kohli, the Brand Ambassador to Uber in India, is the centrepiece of Uber’s ‘This World Cup, Every Fan Wins’ campaign. The first-ever World Cup slogan was also launched alongside large scale presence on advertising mediums such as transit media, bus shelters and billboards & unipoles.
With the present population spending more and more time outside their homes due to various reasons such as heavy traffic, commute to work etc., it is apparent that OOH is playing an effective role in raising awareness about brands and driving sales.
Therefore, outdoor media has turned into an obvious choice for the campaign, given the audience connect and engagement is more. In India, the campaign was predominantly seen across key locations in big cities like Mumbai & Delhi.
