During a recent global event where customers from over 21 countries were present at Canon’s own facility in Poing,Germany, the company took up the opportunity to introduce to the market their new Océ ProStream series. Featuring a new approach to high-coverage, the high-quality inkjet printing mechanism of the new series continuously feeds the system and empowers it to produce superlative quality of graphic and commercial printing. The Océ ProStream can print uncoated, inkjet-optimized, gloss and matt-coated papers with speed of 262 ft./min. It will be sold at price of 1.6 million Euros.
Christian Unterberger, chief marketing officer and executive VP of production printing products said that their focus throughout the entire process of developing the new series was to take a Greenfield approach so that they could design a product that could be fresh and would attract new business opportunities. He further added that he was extremely confident that the new Océ ProStream will deliver beyond expectations particularly in high growth segments such as premium direct mail and marketing collateral.
