Bengaluru-based Welpac Products is the 38-year-old company which produces signages has a new branch called Imagination Delivered. They have installed an EFI Vutek GS3250LXr Pro LED roll-to-roll printer at its facility in Bengaluru. According to the company’s director, Mayoor Kurva, the new company’s objective is to focus on fleet and vehicle graphics, billboards, and outdoor signage among other applications.
Kurva said we loved the flexibility of inks which are backed up by 3M MCS warranty. “We will introduce these technologies in corporate offices where there’s a heavy demand for outdoor signage.” He added, “The Greenguard Gold certified inks have made our path easy to focus on corporate customers, with new greener materials which were not possible to print with solvent, eco-solvent and other UV technologies.”
The six-colour true variable-drop grayscale print capable EFI VUTEk GS 3250 LXr is capable of printing at speeds of up to 1,600 sqft (149 sqm) per hour in 600 dpi. It has an optional automated double-sided printing capability for banners and backlit applications.
Sam Patel, managing director at Arrow Digital, India representative for EFI wide-format presses, said, “The GS LXr super-range LED UV Ink exhibits solvent-like elongation characteristics and withstands heat installation without cracking. It offers an extended colour gamut and ensures maximum reliability and performance. It is ideal for outdoor applications, vehicle wraps, and graphic applications on textured surfaces, wallpapers, bus shelters, heat sensitive materials, as well as for volume producers of short-run fabric and textile soft sign applications.”
