Keeping in mind the stressful few minutes patients or their family members have to undergo when they reach hospitals to treat their emergency medical conditions in finding their way to the right floor, department or room, Hospitals are now coming up with an efficient and easier solution to this problem. Wayfinding is the name of the famous digital signage software that is serving as the perfect solution. Not only can the signage be used to find way in hospitals but they are being used to even disburse important patient information in the waiting room areas.

Another way Wayfinding digital signage is being used is by turning it into a Kiosk where not only those attending to a patient, but a patient himself can use for checking in or navigation. This also cuts down the stress-levels big time. These signage systems are GPS enabled and powered with sensor fusion technology and can be used in kiosk-style systems and on phones through apps as well. The tool is two-way that also gives hospital staff access to it so that they can access the analytics anytime.

Though many hospitals have already incorporated the technology, it is still undergoing research and is expected to come up with a lot of new and efficient features. Soon new textures, touch-screen and possibly even mid-air experiences will become synonym with the name. This is probably the technology which perfectly balances digital and traditional signage and ensures ultimate patient satisfaction.
