Durst, the world leading manufacturer of advanced digital printing and production technologies is consolidating its roll-fed and flatbed production into one expanded site. The new site will also get a new leadership team.
Supplied in Australia and New Zealand by PES with Matt Ashman as the Durst manager, the company will now centralise all manufacturing in Brixen, northern Italy, and move flatbed from its Austrian base into the Italian site.
With the introduction of its P5 technology platform and the future development of hybrid printing systems, the company decided to dissolve what it called ‘historically grown’ structures in favour of a
sole centre of manufacturing and business.
The business unit will have dual leadership, with experienced Durst managers Christian Harder and Andrea Riccardi, heading the operation. Both employees have been with the company for the last 20 years, and have helped transform the evolutionary stages of Durst inkjet technology in all its aspects.
As the new global sales director, Christian Harder has cross segment know-how and has been responsible for successful worldwide sales management for ceramics printing in recent years.
Andrea Riccardi is the new head of product management.
He previously worked for many years in direct sales in the large format production (LFP) market, and since the end of 2016, has been responsible for the product portfolio in LFP web printing and the further development in soft signage/fabrics printing.
