Hyundai has decided to change its advertising strategy this time as it no longer wants to rope in brand ambassadors to power its advertising campaigns for Santro. It has now shifted its focus on massive outdoor advertising, mainly hoardings, as it wants to target buyers in small towns and rural areas.
According to Hyundai, outdoor advertising works best in such areas, and these are the areas that continue to drive auto sales in the country. The company has planned to put up 267 hoardings in rural areas in various local languages so as to reach out to each and every prospective customer.
The company wants to target the rural market due to the immense opportunities it offers. As of now, the small car segment in rural areas is dominated by Maruti Suzuki.
