Effective communication is the key to the successful design and delivery of Government projects and services. It plays an important role in helping all stakeholders to understand their roles and responsibilities in the project life cycle. So, all types of Print Service Providers across India can seize big opportunities emanating from the ongoing Digital India Campaign of the Government of India.
As a part of the production of various promotional items – printed materials and products with branding, National e-Governance Division was created by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology as an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation {erstwhile Media Lab Asia}. Digital India is an umbrella program which involves the participation of a large number of stakeholders. Therefore, a comprehensive Awareness and Communication (A&C) program was designed to deliver the message of Digital India to all stakeholders. In order to expand the visibility of the Digital India brand, services of experience merchandise and printing agencies are being sought.
The agency has invited Request for Empanelment (RFE) of agencies for Printing documents and Merchandise items for said Digital India Program. The Request for Empanelment Proposals must be submitted no later than 14the June 2022 as the Bids will be opened on 15th June 2022.
The scope of supply of materials includes the Production of collaterals for Digital India (T-Shirts, Caps, Trophy, Mementos, Souvenirs, Pen drives, Bags (cloth, leather, plastic), lanyards, plastic cards, name badges, cardholders etc. The agency should be able to print common items e.g. writing pads, folders, brochures, pamphlets, books, leaflets, reports, name tags, parking labels, name badges etc., Backdrop, Hoarding, posters Vinyl/Paper digital print, standee etc).
The selected Agencies will be empanelled for a limited period to work on the Awareness and Communication (A&C) project under Digital India Program. Apart from regularly available items, the agency should be able to design and create new innovative samples of merchandise items, design new documents for print and should have appropriate facilities and skilled workers to execute the job.
The agency should have the facility of the screen, digital, heat transfer, block, CAD cutting, laser cutting, Debossing/ Embossing, printing etc. The agency should have all types of printing facilities (Offset, Digital, Laser, UV, Embossing, leaf printing etc), Graphic designers to create printing material. The agency should be able to print common items e.g. writing pads, folders, brochures, pamphlets, books, leaflets, reports, name tags, parking labels, name badges etc., Backdrop, Hoarding, posters (vinyl/paper, digital print), standee,).
An integral component of the Digital India Programme, Awareness and Communication ( A&C) Division is initiating Brand building, promotion, publicity and marketing. These include the production and dissemination of print material (design & content)-newspaper ads, brochures, booklets, newsletters, posters, calendars, diaries, billboard designs, magazine articles & advertorials etc; Outdoor media (planning & execution)- hoardings, bus queue shelters, uni poles, display boards at Railway Stations, digital display boards at Airports etc. Production of audiovisual components & execution of mass media campaigns- TV ads, radio ads, cinema ads, short films, etc. It will also organize and manage events and physical outreach activities – National events, International level conferences and exhibitions, University workshops, Rural Outreach (van based campaign) etc. Last but not the least, will undertake the production and distribution of branded materials – pens, notepads, mugs, bags, pen drives, keychains and pen stands etc.
It has been felt that a lot more thrust is required to ensure e-Governance in the country promotes inclusive growth that covers electronic services, products, devices and job opportunities. Moreover, electronic manufacturing in the country will also be strengthened. So, to transform the entire ecosystem of public services through the use of information technology, the Government of India has launched the Digital India programme with the vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
