The second in the league of Sign & POP World Webinar Series was Cosign India Pvt. Ltd. The Webinar was presided over by Tejasa Puradare, the company’s director, who preferred to deliver her Topic – Evolution of Modular Signage Systems and Soft Signage – An Industry Perspective in three parts, namely, user journey mapping through signage, evolution of modular signage systems and why future belongs to soft signage. The complete session thus revolved around user experiences about signage, which was then followed by considerations for choosing a modular signage system and why soft signage is on the way to become the cynosure of the brands & corporates in time come.
The important point of her session or rather presentation was that she made it far more interactive by using polls in between to which users/attendees honestly responded to let her decide on to which direction they want to go on. Her session let the attendees know as how important is the user journey mapping while deciding upon the type and location of signage. According to her, this technique is getting widely used to enhance the customer experience. She believes that while mapping customer experience in a physical environment, signage is a key touch point. The Webinar took the audience through basic steps of user journey mapping.
In the next move, she explained as post user journey mapping how the choice of signage materials becomes crucial. What components or the steps should a brand owner as well as signage maker consider before zeroing in on the types of signage materials. Amongst the options that are available for the purpose, modular signages have an edge above the conventional ones due to the advantages they offer. She also delved deep into the ideal criteria for selecting a modular signage system. She explained that how and why displays have become a crucial touch point nowadays. Her claim was followed with valid reasons that she shared using some eye catching samples as examples.
In the third and last part of her presentation, she took the attendees to the world of soft signage and showed how textile/fabric as a display element has been slowly taking centre stage in the world signage. She is of the view that it is very promising and brands are very much open to accept the same as the best choice for light boxes and indoor signages. But simply using textile doesn’t mean that one has shifted to environment-friendly materials. It also needs to be durable and long lasting. Here, she pointed out that choice of all three components of soft signage i.e., textile, LEDs and aluminium profiles plays an important role to get the perfect display.
After the presentation, there was a good interactive session wherein she took the queries of attendees in quite an interactive manner. In a little more than an hour-long session, Purandare was happily tackling each one of the attendees by addressing individual questions. In short, she loved interacting with industry peers, taking specific questions and offering them viable and valuable solutions. It was proved to be a fruitful platform for both the attendees as well as the expert.
