Canopus Imaging System LLP has opened their office in Mumbai on 5th March 2022 after performing the Poojas. Canopus Imaging System, incorporated on 28 January 2022, is a firm formed by Deborshi Paul Choudhury (Debu) and Deepak Chavan, both of whom have over two decades of experience and knowledge in the digital printing arena.
Giving details of the company’s business activities, Debu said: “We will be selling solvent, eco-solvent and UV range of digital printers and we will be importing and selling inks as well. We have taken distributorship of Toyo Inks for Maharashtra, Goa, North East markets and later we may also cover North India markets.”
He says that his company will be marketing high-end solvent and eco-solvent printers from Konica and Epson. Debu reveals further: “We plan to get some of the products manufactured in India under our brand once our businesses are streamlined. Soon we will also have a demo centre in Mumbai. All the materials that we are going to sell would be stocked and made readily available for dispatch. And we will be selling Toyo ink on B2B basis through our distributors.”
He adds: “Our key strengths are not only quality machines and inks, but also our vast experience in the field. We will be leveraging our expertise in marketing the products. To begin with, we have formed a team of experienced professionals to take care of sales and installation.”
Canopus Imaging System will be participating in the forthcoming Media Expo in Mumbai to make its presence felt. “The Market is moving forward after the 2 years of the pandemic. In about 2 or 3 months, we expect the market to come back to a pre-Covid situation. In future, UV flatbed will be big market as it offers numerous possibilities to print on flat surfaces such as glass, metal, wood, MDF, plastic, etc.”
He concludes: “Soon after the announcement of our company’s opening, we received many enquiries and we will soon have our first installation at Nanded, Maharashtra. We feel, we have entered the market at right time. ”
