Balaji Digital of New Delhi recently announced that it has chosen Ricoh Pro C9100 digital cutsheet printing press among various other options available in the market. The press is integrated with the Fiery E-43 digital front end (DFE). Balaji digital had installed the machine in the company’s shopfloor in January this year and it has printed more than five lakh A3 sheets on the machine already.
B Shyam Babu is the proprietor of Balaji Digital and he justified his choice by saying, “Though there were numerous lucrative machines in the market, we opted for the Ricoh because of two sole reasons – its high speed and its ability to print heavy substrates. Ricoh’s machine can print 110 A4 pages every given minute and has the capacity to handle up to 400 gsm. We did not find any other in the market offering such versatile capability.”
The Ricoh Pro C9100 can print sheet of sizes 13×27-inches and warm time of the machine is also less than seven minutes. It weighs less than 1,000 kg.
The company’s 1,000 sq/ft facility also house a Konica Minolta Bizhub Press C1085 which along with the Ricoh 9100 generates more than two lakh A3 prints per month.
