Extending strong support to the platform and highlighting the Ministry’s approach to incentivizing local innovation, in his message, Vijoy Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles – Government of India, said: “I am glad to know that Messe Frankfurt India and MEX Exhibitions are organising the first edition of Gartex Texprocess India 2022 in the financial capital of India after successfully hosting the Show in Delhi last year. I had an opportunity to inaugurate the Delhi edition and visited the exhibition in person after such a long pandemic, which stalled all the activities globally.”
He added further: “It has been our experience that the textiles industry is majorly dependent on imported machines. There is a need to make most of the machines manufactured in India, particularly in light of the current disruption of world logistics services. The Ministry of Textiles is currently formulating a scheme for incentivizing the manufacturing of textile machinery in India. The approach is to incentivize local innovation and at the same time invite eminent manufacturers to set up ventures locally.”
India’s leading B2B exhibition for the denim industry, Denim Show 2022, will be held in Mumbai for the very first time and aims to showcase innovative, fashionable, and sustainable trends in the world of denim. Supported by the Denim Manufacturers Association, the platform will enable India’s biggest denim brands and mills to reunite under its umbrella. For the very first time in India, topics like flash dying of Indigo, Digital manufacturing, bio dyeing, and the Sustainability initiative by Levi Strauss will be discussed at ‘Denim Talks’ that is scheduled on 13 May 2022.
After a promising response at its first post-pandemic edition in New Delhi last year, Screen Print India 2022 is showcasing new technological capabilities in digital textile and screen-printing, the exhibition will bring leading brands to demonstrate their manufacturing technologies for screen printing, digital sublimation, heat transfer, textile printing, and garment decoration to potential business visitors and traders.
Together, the concurrently held exhibitions will provide an all-inclusive platform for the stakeholders of the textile, garment, and screen-printing industry to discover new manufacturing capabilities in their respective verticals.
