Xaar 1201 printhead enables shorter product development cycle for OEMs in China, while India is not lagging
Xaar’s 1201 printhead has seen debuts at two recently concluded exhibitions in China – the DPES Huaqiao 2019 Print Expo at Huaqiao International Expo Center and the 27th Shanghai Ad & Sign Expo (APPPEXPO) at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Both the shows witnessed a number of OEMs that put forth their Xaar 1201-based printers, demonstrating a wide range of applications including UV flatbed, UV roll-to-roll, eco-solvent and textile printing.

As a versatile printhead compatible with different ink types, such as UV, eco-solvent, and aqueous inks, it perfectly supports customers’ different printing applications and requirements. A variety of printers displayed at these shows was based on the Xaar 1201 printhead, demonstrating the confidence of OEMs in the Xaar technology besides proving its versatility across multiple applications.
In addition to offering the latest inkjet printhead technology, Xaar has built an ecosystem of support to facilitate the R&D of its Chinese OEMs and ensuring a shorter product development cycle and time to market. Working with its master distributor in Greater China, Guangzhou HaoCheng International Trading Co. Ltd., this ecosystem includes electronics integrators, ink manufacturers and RIP suppliers.
“Our extensive network of support for the Xaar 1201 ensures that our Chinese OEMs can integrate Xaar’s latest printhead technology within their new printers very effectively,” says Leon Wu, General Manager of HaoCheng. “The Xaar 1201 printhead now not only provides what high-performance OEMs require, but more importantly has the application expertise and support to deliver even greater business opportunities.”

In the meantime, quite a few Indian manufacturers have also escorted their printers with Xaar 1201, the versatility and performance of which ensures the speed and precision for graphics and wide-format media printing. The latest in the league is Pixeljet printer from Monotech Systems. The PixeljetminiRTR 6 printer, which is equipped with Xaar 1201 printheads, can handle a broad range of flexible media for indoor and outdoor applications.
This new printer is available in six colour and four colour plus white varnish versions, with the latter having the capability to print white in different modes. This improves the quality of the printed material while increasing the colour contrast and readability. The PixeljetminiRTR has been designed for customers who want to switch from eco-solvent printing to UV printing. It delivers simple integration for manufacturers looking for a flexible, small four-colour, yet affordable low cost WFG or textiles printer.
Commenting on the company’s experience with Xaar 1201, Managing Director of Monotech Systems, T.P.
