The new entry in the UV printing arena would further push the market for fabric in the outdoor to help maintain the ecological balance.
One of the India’s leading manufacturers of wide-format inkjet printers, ColorJet India Ltd has launched its latest innovation, VULCAN – is a high speed 3.2 meter UV LED Roll to Roll Printer. According to Smarth Bansal, the company’s Brand Manager, VULCAN is empowered with the V8 technology, an immense combination of superlative print quality, smart memory utilisation, speedy communication with advance cabling system, and thermal design technology. “It also offers benefits of multi-tasking and multi-threading to speed up the printing operations which ultimately maximize the productivity.”
Divulging the market trend, Bansal added that the market is moving towards UV machines. People are getting more inclined towards greener opportunity. “For now, there are only few UV machines available in the market that too at a very high price of up to Rs. 2 Cr, which actually restricts PSPs to enter the market. With the launch of this machine at a starting price of Rs. 65 lakh, we have invited them to upgrade their setup from solvent or eco-solvent to UV. We do have associations with substrate providers to help them opt for media of their choice.”
The inkjet printer comes equipped with an advanced industrial head (Industrial Grade Jetting Assembly) with great expanding capability that enormously enhances the productivity and profitability. The VULCAN prints at speeds of up to 120 meters per hour and is a complete solution, offering White Printing, Flexi Layer technologies and a LED Light Box System. Additionally, the VULCAN offers advance motorized-carriage with height adjustment feature, automatic ink regulator, LED lamps, advance plasma anti-static device, high-tech vacuum system, pneumatic press rubber roller, reinforced beams, and carriage safety sensor features.
Further, the printer is loaded with an Eco Cooling System, in which the water cooling system is embedded and thereby maintains printing temperature and removes media wrinkle to ensure high quality prints. While, the dual-roll option enables customers to install two or more rolls one after another. This helps in executing multiple jobs simultaneously and also enhances the efficiency of the printer on smaller media while the Media Trimming System feature enables to cut the print media vertically in uni-direction.
The inkjet printer operates with the latest ColorJet generation of white inks, which are opaque. This feature enables to obtain a qualitative white output with the use of low ink consumption for coloured or dark substrates as well as transparent materials like glass for backlit and front-lit applications. Most importantly, the white configuration technology can be used as a spot colour along with white ink circulation system.
Speaking about a unique selling preposition, Bansal shared, “Along with the machine, we have also introduced Apna Printer Apna Kaam – an enabling offer for PSPs wherein we have come up with the option for those who do not have much money but want to upgrade their system from solvent to UV. Under this scheme, anyone willing to start with UV machine can simply make a down payment of Rs. 1.5 lakh followed by a monthly installment of Rs. 20,000. This is to increase the market size by inviting more and more PSPs.”
