Ms Tejasa Purandare completed her Instrumentation Engineering from Cummins College Pune. She secured 3rd Rank in Pune University in the final year of her Engineering. She then secured her MBA with Marketing Major from S P Jain School of Global Management where she secured 3 Gold medals on the Dean’s List. And, she continued her success by securing a place in the Forbes List of Top 100 Great People Managers in 2019. Reading, swimming, trekking are Tejasa’s pass-time activities.

Why did you think of your current profession although around the world there are numerous other career opportunities or choices?
I met Cosign Belgium team at a signage expo in Mumbai. I was immediately impressed with the products. With matching ideas a joint venture seemed the right thing. I am happy to have chosen it!
Since the Signage industry is male-dominated, was it difficult to adjust yourself??
I think initially people felt surprised about my choice of being in the signage industry. But they have always been so supportive that I never had any difficulty.
Your observation about the trends now and in future in the signage industry?
The signage industry is getting more and more organised. The end customer is demanding good quality products. With increasing global exposure this demand will increase. Many innovative products have been introduced and are in pipeline as well.
Your views about: International Women’s Day 2022 theme – “gender equality for a sustainable future……
The awareness of sustainability is bringing about numerous changes. Even small businesses can take steps towards being sustainable. The signage industry is moving towards sustainability with the right choice of materials and processes. The involvement of women in the decision making for sustainability will be essential for equality and development.
How do you strike a balance between work and home?
Planning your time right I think is the key to being able to maintain a work-life balance. Being a mother of two is never easy! I have a lot of support from my family and they are very understanding about my work.
What were the learning lessons from Covid?
Covid taught me the importance of spending time with loved ones and keeping the focus on your health. On the professional front, Covid taught the importance of people in any business and the need of analysing all costs.
