IKEA, the furniture giant along with Red Cross Norway jointly started a campaign in order to draw compassion from shoppers, towards the victims of SYRIAN war. The store has built a replica of a war torn home in its store. Just 25 square meters in area, the structure represents the actual home of a woman named Rana and her nine family members. Presented in stark contrast to the nearby IKEA room showcases, the room’s concrete block walls and sparse furnishings focusses on the everyday struggles of Syrian citizens. The campaign has successfully raised a lot of funds for the war torn Syrians.
