Roland is a well-known leading provider of wide-format printers. It recently announced release of its new ErgoSoft Roland Edition 2 RIP software its Texart series dye-sublimation inkjets. The software has been developed by ErgoSoft exclusively for Roland’s Texart RT-640 and XT-640 printers. The new edition of the software is much more updated and includes a lot of new and innovative features for creating stunning sublimated sports and fashion apparel, soft signage, interior decor, promotional goods, personalized gifts, and more.
Customers who were previously using ErgoSoft Roland Edition RIP software before launch of the new edition will be eligible to update to ErgoSoft Roland Edition 2 without any additional charges. With over 40 new features and enhancements the new software has been specifically designed to bring out the best in Roland’s printers and make the process of producing sublimated outputs easier than ever.
Features like image add-on, multiple effects functionality, step and repeat feature, color replacement feature and variable data printing. ErgoSoft Roland Edition 2 has been strategically designed to boost user productivity. A new dithering method has been incorporated in the system that increases the speed and also improves dot placement accuracy. This results in 40 percent faster RIP times and smoother gradients. The latest edition also offers up to eight simultaneous RIP Servers that reduces processing time.
Its new Printer Pool feature also deserves a mention here that offers flexibility to its users and not to forget the new Hot Folder feature for increased efficiency while printing images in batches with specific print settings. “There is increasing demand for customized items – products with shorter life cycles – that suit a wide variety of needs and tastes,” noted Lily Hunter, Roland DGA’s product manager for textiles and consumables. “This advanced, feature-filled software makes handling diverse production runs easier and more efficient for Texart printer users.”
