In middle of luxury furnishings and plush comfortable modern home displays in a store of IKEA in Norway, customers suddenly stepped a small room with naked ceiling walls and no modern amenities. The space was designed to transport visitors to Rana’s small house in Syria. Rana is raising 4 children in a small two-bedroom apartment who had to give up her work as a teacher to ensure safety and security of her children at home. The objective of the campaign was to bring forth the reality of leading a life sans the basics of food, water and even decently equipped homes. IKEA joined hands with Red Cross to create this campaign and ended up raising 22 million Euros as donation to support Red Cross in Syria.
