Mimaki USA, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, has announced that the OKI ColorPainter Series of printers has now been integrated into the OEM’s product lines.
This integration has been accorded to the announcement made by the parent company, Mimaki Engineering (Japan), early this year when the company had made an exclusive international sales agreement for the distribution of OKI Data’s ColorPainter printers, consumables and maintenance parts.
In due course of time, three new models will join the Mimaki USA line-up, which includes the 64-inch-wide ColorPainter M-64s Traffic Sign Printer, the 64-inch-wide ColorPainter M-64s Graphics Printer, and the 104-inch-wide H3-104s Grand Format Printer.
According to the company, each of these models features photo-realistic quality and production print speeds, Dynamic Dot Printing Technology to control and optimise dot size and density, SX or 3MTM SX eco-solvent ink sets with extended-CMYK configuration options, and outdoor durability with comprehensive warranties with and without lamination, to support virtually any application.
Notably, the ColorPainter M-64s Traffic Sign Printer is an application-specific model that can help printers expand their business to serve a continuous need for traffic, way-finding and safety signage. In addition to the features attributed to the Graphics Printer model, the Traffic Sign Printer supports SX spot inks in seven approved traffic colours – red, green, blue, brown, black, yellow and orange.
The printer also includes special media-handling features for thicker films designed for outdoor traffic signage. The Traffic Sign Printer models can print directly onto variety of retro-reflective sheeting grades. The combination of SX inks and approved films, provides up to a 10-year warranty for maximum durability, and is ASTM-compliant and MUTCD-compliant.
In another interesting development, the technology giant has announced the launch of a new customer focused financial solution, Wide Format Investment Program. This service enables customers to protect their cash, overcome budget limitations and acquire the right printing equipment for existing jobs as well as future growth.
Mimaki is dedicated to providing solutions to reduce anxiety during these uncertain times, so its clients/PSPs can focus on what’s important; maintaining and growing their businesses. This special financial program, through partnership with North Star Leasing Company, a leading national lender focused on exclusively helping businesses grow, is offered through Mimaki’s widespread US authorised dealer network.
“Mimaki is committed to putting its customers and their families first by providing more options to ease financial strain while they adjust their businesses to support their local communities,” said Naoya Kawagoshi, Mimaki USA President.
