It took a lot to digest looking at the image which is startling, incongruous and incredible. Apparently a car floats in space and at the wheel is a spacesuit with a seatbelt on. The plan was engineered and incorporated by Elon Musk and his company SpaceX which delivered the $100,000 Tesla Roadster, with the message “Don’t panic!” stamped on the dashboard and David Bowie playing on the speakers – to cruise through high-energy radiation belts that circuit Earth towards deep space. It is touted as one of the biggest as well as expensive publicity gimmicks done by any brand ever. The car was put into space by Falcon Heavy, now the most powerful rocket in operation and second only to the Saturn V rockets, which carried men to the moon during the Apollo era.
