Recently, billboards have been installed around Hampton Roads to spread awareness about human trafficking. The initiative is part of a campaign by Attorney General Mark Herring’s office. The billboards have black backgrounds, large text and silhouettes of people. They also target three groups: traffickers, victims and the general public. As human trafficking is a $150 billion enterprise around the world and has claimed 20.9 million victims it is important that awareness is raised.
